Hi everyone,

I manage the IT support for a company using AVG Internet Security 2016 Business with Remote Administration.
Irecently completed an upgrade from the 2013 edition which went without any major issues.
The problem I'm currently having is with the auto update schedule updating the Antispam component. I'm finding that avgmfapx.exe is hanging on the client PC's causing subsequent virus definition updates to fail. The update is hanging on the part where its trying to update Antispam definitions.
The AVG admin server is running an update proxy and I have tried configuring clients to use the automatic option (instead of pulling updates from the server) with no difference.

The Admin server is version 2016.0.7951
AVG clients are running version 2016.0.7924
The server says its running the latest version of everything including remote administration.

The client PC's are based on Windows 7 (mixture of 32 bit and 64 bit) They are domain joined and the only windows firewall policy is to allow all traffic (as AVG is assuming responsibility for this)
Users have normal user permissions although the issue persists with an admin logged on.
I have tried installing a client using a fresh network deployment after uninstalling AVG and using the AVG remover tool but the result is still the same.
Any help would be appreciated

Many Thanks,
Mike

Mike, Also please be informed that this Community forum basically deals with the 'home' version of AVG products.
