Thank you for your reply. It was very helpful. I've purchased the subscription at the discount price. 
I understand from your note that if I download and activate the product now, my subscription will continue from the date my present subscription expires.
I think I also have the option of waiting until the expiry date to install and activate the new subscription.
I would be grateful if you'd confirm this please.

Just received email from AVG offering 60% off their internet security package. My current subscription runs out in November. Can I purchase the package to continue from November at the 60% discount?
