What exactly happens when you use Outlook with Ransomware protection feature enabled?
Are you unable to send or receive emails? Do you receive any error message?

We'd request you to check if Outlook is added to blocked apps list in Ransomware protection feature.

To open the Blocked & Allowed apps screen:

Open the AVG Internet Security user interface and go to Menu ▸ Settings.
Select General ▸ Blocked & Allowed apps in the left panel.

If Outlook is added in blocked apps list, please remove it.

AVG Internet Security and outlook 2016 seem to be not playing together again. I have been tracking  the problem down and have disabled Ransomware Protection and at moment it seem to work by not giving me any errors in Outlook 2016, I have been running Outlook for a few hours now without any failure.
Does anybody now of any work around's for this problem.

Outlook was not blocked  but was in the allowed section and I  have removed  it from this section
