Thank you for checking this setting for us, Manish.
Virus database differ for each antivirus program. AVG considers a file as threat or infection if the file does not meet this clean guidelines. If you would like to share some details about the PUP that was detected, we'd like to escalate this to our developers so they can analyze why it was not detected by AVG.
Please provide a screenshot (https://bit.ly/2WiMpap) of the scan result from Malwarebytes where it clearly shows the file path of each file removed.
Hi Manish.
We regret any inconvenience caused.
By default, scan for potentially unwanted programs is turned off in AVG because it is so aggressive that it would flag any application that does not have a valid digital signature.
If you want to turn it on, please follow the steps below:
Open AVG Internet Security, click Menu -> Settings -> Tools. Click the checkbox against 'Scan for potentially unwanted programs' to enable it.
I am using licenced versions of avg internet security and avg tuneup. I tried all the ways to remove pups but it could not while using Malwarebytes it was solved. How will my problem be solved by this kind of antivirus. How should I apply for refund
I have also used this setting but nothing was special for antivirus to do so while other antivirus software (free version) removed my problem. Tell me why should I keep a licensed version of avg antivirus? I am extremely unsatisfied with this software performance.
