Thanks Veeramani. How do I put a valid range of IP addresses in instead of one by one? I do not want to enter new ips each time that the addresses change.
Hello Linky,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. This kind of issues occur when you did not add other devices IP addresses in remote access shield.
To add an IP address or IP range that is always allowed to connect remotely to your PC:
- Open AVG Internet Security and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
- Select Full protection ▸ Remote Access Shield in the left panel.
- Tick the box next to Block all connections except the following.
- Under Block all connections except the following, click Add.
- Enter a trusted IP address or IP range, then click Allow. Added connections appear below the Add button.
I have 5 computers on the network that share folders and programs. After installing AVG internet security the computers cannot access each other anymore. It is marked as a trusted network in the firewall. Even switching the firewall off still blocks the computers. To access a folder or the program I have to disable AVG completely. Please tell me where else must I give permissions? The guides found on AVG is all for older versions.
