Please refer this article and check whether boot time scan shows any progress when you restart the computer and post restart?
Please open AVG Internet Security program window.
Click on "Menu->About" and check whether it shows 20.8 version.
If not, please refer this article and perform the program update and check the status with boot time scan.
Keep me apprised about the status.
so boot time scan has stopped working,
i start a boot time scan to scan deeper in the file base and restart for avg to start the boot time scan but just does the fallowing…
it shows avg internet security title then does a bunch of dots across the screen from left to right the briefly shows scan c:/ then does nothing and boots, it does not scan anything attached is youtube video of the issue avg boot time scasn not working
Yes avg clean tool I did that basically does the same thing I do manually and removes folder as well as registry keys but yes I did use it

It seem like the last update messed this up like I wish I could roll back the version of the software to trial and error this
Everything is up to date avg program is 20.8 version I've uninstalled cleared everything and reinstalled and still nothing and you honestly mean the security is that bad on your end you cant simply look at the youtube video I have posted to see the issue further

Would you be so kind to clarify whether you've used AVG Clear tool to remove AVG files completely & reinstalled AVG?
