I have been dealing with a refund issue since 6/4/18 for Internet Security Business Edition. The case number is 06652211.
I have not received a follow up email confirming my refund of $68.42 and calling AVG only results in being transferred and put on hold for extended periods of time. 30 minutes just to get the initial service representative! I have been recording all of these conversations to document how horrible customer service at AVG is, my next step will be to post it online. The sad part is I initially was not looking to cancel, but rather purchase a license for two years instead of one. The AVG website is not compatible with Microsoft Edge, I tried unsuccessfully a dozen times or more to purchase the above product only to be rerouted back to the main screen every time to re-enter info.
I finally decided to try Chrome assuming its not compatible, which worked the first time. I didn't realize until I received the confirmation email that the license was only for one year though, so the license period was not changed to two years. I called in figuring it was a simple fix and just the difference could be charged to me as its cheaper that way and extend the license to two years. It cold not be done by customer service, so I said fine, cancel it then. I had planned on reordering after, but AVG has been so deceiving that I am fed up with the company and how it purposely avoids the customer to make you frustrated so you cannot cancel. I had a similar issue with my other antivirus software provider for my client computers and their customer service is top notch and resolved it immediately and went above and beyond expectations. I cannot say the same with AVG, and since I own a technology company, all my clients will know as well. It is so easy to make a customer happy, but the lack of customer service here is disgusting. You have my info, and I know you have the recordings of the conversations as well, go back to them and you will see what I am talking about. Your site says to wait 30 days for the credit to go back to your card, but your refund policy is only up to 30 days. Coincidence? I don't think so, which is why I'm recording everything and pressing the issue as I know they would say they did not receive a refund request if I waited 30 days and have not sent me e refund confirmation email. It only takes a day or two to take my money, why does it take 30 to get it back? The answer is most will get frustrated and give up, or forget. AVG could have gained a loyal customer here, but instead lost one. I would appreciate a response as well as an email confirming my refund and processing it immediately!

Please be informed that this Community forum basically deals with 'home' version of AVG products. Furthermore the "Business products" area has now been removed from the 'Community topics' list @ the top LHS of this page. Finally please be informed that the support for "Business products" is not now available within this Community.
