From your description, it seems to be an unusual behavior.
Please let us know the version of your MAC & disable each AVG shield individually to identify the component that is causing the issue.
I've been using AVG Internet Security for a while and started to have issues with Safari. Web pages either took minutes to load or stalled altogether. Uploads were prevented altogether. Avast browser was not affected at all.
At first I thought it was Safari and so I did all the usual things like updating, clearing the cache and history. Nothing helped. I began to suspect AVG, so I uninstalled it. Immediately, browsing speeds and uploads returned to normal. After a couple of days, I reinstalled AVG, and the Safari issues returned.
Are there any solutions? I have looked but could not find anything.
