I've tried that many times and as I already said removed and installed AVG numerous times.
The failure occurs during an update process, corrupting the installation in some way.

I'm running a Laptop with Windows 10 and Office 2016.
The AVG Com add-in frequently causes Outlook to crash and often, when restarting Outlook disables it. Sometimes the only option is to start Outlook in Safe mode and disable it from there.
I have looked up this issue on-line, it seems that this has been an issue for a number of years with many different versions of AVG/Windows/Office.
I have tried all the suggestions, using the removal tool and re-installing AVG on a number of occasions, the issue goes away but then comes back again!
Any chance that AVG will finally fix this; my renewal date is coming up and rather than start again with another protection tool I'd prefer that AVG get their finger out and provide us customers with a program that actually works?

To try something that I said I've already tried many times?
I've already also said that I've uninstalled and reinstalled AVG on numerous occasions.
They work for a while and then some form of AVG update breaks the installation and I have to start all over again.
As I've seen on the Internet, this is not a new problem and it's about time it was fixed!
