Do AVG try every technique to stop people sorting out problems?

  • I can't load my screenshot - why?
  • Then I thought I take a picture on my phone and upload - guess what it's bigger than 1MB?
So all I can do is type you the message again exactly as it appears in a little grey box on my screen: -
"The following problem was encountered during execution"
"Error message Cannot get info files due to curl error."
"Error Code: '44013'.
'C:\ProgramData\AVG\Icarus\Logs\Icarus.log'.

I'm still getting the daily 'failed' message when trying to update Internet Security  - the message as usual is
Curl error
Error code 44013
'C:\ProgramData\AVG\Logs\icarus.log'

It Windows 10 and I only use AVG.

Thank you for providing us the info, Martin. 
Please disable AVG Firewall once, then try to update & let us know if it helps.
To disable firewall : Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - Settings - Basic protection - Enhanced firewall - click on toggle bar beside it.
