I'm new to AVG and just downloaded AVG Internet Security (30 day trial). I am a Chrome user, and have noticed every time a Chrome page refreshes, or anytime I open Chrome, I get this annoying "AVG Detection" popup that lists threats, and which ones were resolved. I don't know how to turn off the notification of this and it is getting SUPER annoying. Can anyone help me figure out how to turn off the notification?

Hello Kathleen,
We understand your concern . Please make Google chrome as your default browser and close all the browser in your computer.
Then please open the AVG Program Web Tuneup and click on Open browser. If the browser opens and it will ask you to enable the extension.
Please try that and let us know, we will assist further.
Thank you.

Can I disable the secure search plugin and still avoid the annoying popups (Screenshot above)?

Thank you for providing the screenshot, Kathleen.
Please be informed that that this "vulnerability threat detection" is not due to AVG Secure Search plugin, it is due to AVG Online Shield on AVG Protection program.
Please have a  look at this article: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Threat-of-using-vulnerable-or-unsupported-protocols to know about the complete details of this issue.
