AVG Internet security fails on email using 16 character password

Hello Dallas. Could you please let me know whether you use an email client like Outlook to check your email or a web based email?

I do NOT have any encrypted email accounts. My email provider requested using a 16 character server password. Ever since AVG fails to scan my emails reporting 'email scanner is  unable to scan messages because content of connection is unknown'
