Today 28 August 2018 the automatic AVG updating has errored - the AVG logo on the Windows 10 tray has an exclamation mark & the AVG control panel tells me a ' Computer Update Is Required ' .
The cycle of requesting a manual update on the update button , then rebooting the PC , has been completed several times without progress to remove the ' Antivirus Update Required ' message .
Expert help to resolve please .

Great that you received the first set of screen shots as the internet here has been totally unreliable yet again today , that's why I sent a second set of screen shots .
I did receive your first email & carefully followed your instructions & now I have a fully operational AVG programme on this PC.
I now need to undetake the same actions on the other 3 PC's on this license .

From the screenshot provided, you are using an older version of AVG. We'd request to run AVG Remover tool as described in this link to uninstall older version completely and re install the latest version.
