AVG Internet Security Home Screen Ads

Hi Andrew.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
Below are the possible reasons for receiving ads concerning AVG TuneUp:

1) You must be using an older version of AVG PC TuneUp which is obsolete now.
2) You might have not installed and activated the paid version of latest version AVG TuneUp.
3) AVG Internet Security did not detect the installation of AVG TuneUp and wrongly generating ads for it.

If you have AVG TuneUp installed and activated on your PC, could you open it, take a screenshot (https://bit.ly/30ptlLh) of the dashboard and share it here?

AVG TuneUp Dashboard

AVG Internet Security home screen provides mw with a warning about my cluttered PC and gives me a button to click to resolve the issue. The resolution of this issue appears to be to subscribe to AVG TuneUp, which I've been using for years.

I suffer from 'interesting' memory issues (human not machine memory) and I find this pointless advertising to be a great source of anxiety and would like it to stop. Whenever I open AVG Internet Security, I immediately start to doubt the health of my subscriptions and worry that something has expired without me knowing about it.

How do I stop AVG products trying to sell me AVG products I already have?

I'm a great fan of AVG and have been for over 20 years, but this is the sort of thing that makes a person question their loyalties…

Do I have to end my association with AVG to be rid of this, or is there another button somewhere that says 'Stop AVG trying to sell me stuff I already have'?.

Thanks for posting the screenshot as requested, Andrew.

I can confirm that you have installed the new version of AVG TuneUp and the paid subscription is activated.

You can stop this campaign pop ups from AVG by following the below instructions:

Open AVG Internet Security > Menu > Settings > General > Privacy > uncheck both "show offers for our other products" and "show offers for 3rd party products".

Thanks for your valuable feedback to improve our AVG program, Andrew.

Thanks for choosing AVG!
