AVG Internet Security Interface does not accept mouse input

Are you not able to perform any action in the AVG Internet Security user interface using your mouse?

Hi,

I just reinstalled a windows and loaded AVG internet security on it.

When interacting with the AVG internet security application or the system tray icon the mouse input is completely ignored. Infact it actually makes the whole desktop unresponsive for any mouse input until the AVG application looses focus, i.e. clicking on the start button or anything else is ignored but when I ALT+Tab to another application or press the Windows Key, ie any action that causes AVG Internet security to loose focus, the mouse input is again working. I can also navigate the AVG application using my keyboard so I know the application itself is not frozen.

AVG Tune Up nor any other application is also not affected by this.

I have uninstalled, repair installed, uninstalled and ran the avg clean up and reinstalled again but I've had no luck.

Any advice?
