We would request you to repair AVG Internet Security program first and then check to update AVG program.
If not, please try to uninstall AVG Internet Security using AVG clear tool and then reinstall it.
You can repair your AVG Internet Security by following steps,
1. Press your window key and type "appwiz.cpl" and hit "Enter"
2. Here you can see the list of installed applications in your PC.
3. Uninstall the conflicting antivirus (If found).
4. Uninstall the AVG Internet Security and click "Uninstall".
5. Now select repair and continue.
6. Restart your PC.

After a recent encounter with IDP.Generic malware, AVG Internet Security launches but crashes immediately after loading. Have uninstalled and reinstalled program twice - same result: AVG launches but immediately crashes. Task Manager (Windows 10) indicates AVG Internet Security is running, bur tray icon disappears when mouse hovers over it.
Have run several anti-malware programs and all report no malware present.
Any ideas about fixing this issue?
