Hello Nancy,
We regret the inconvenience caused.
Please check & mention the service pack of your Windows 7 operating system.
If it is the service pack 2, then the AVG Internet Security can be installed on your computer.
In such case, we request you to navigate to the below path & check if you can locate any leftover traces of AVG:
Open C drive > Program files or Program filesx86 > AVG > Antivirus.
Kindly permanently delete the "Antivirus" folder & try the installation again.
Thanks in advance. Keep us updated.
I already had AVG Internet Security and it expired. I had updated my subscription in December but am just now getting around to trying to install it. When I click yes to the question -do I want to let this program make changes to my computer (the microinstaller) it shows a box with a green bar that continuously runs back and forth side to side. This has been going on for over an hour. There is never anything that says to install or asks for my activation code which I have. It really seems like nothing is happening. I'm thinking maybe Windows 7 is just not supportyed by the updated AVG subscription. Any help would be appreciated.
