Avg internet security not working

Hello K Smith,
We appreciate your efforts.We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Internet Security as trial version.
Note:If you have installed any other Antivirus  programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY, Please uninstall it first to avoid conflicts when installing AVG.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:

2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

Hi there, I have tried and tried and so far have not been able to get my trial version to work. It says its not working properly and is trying to update. in the reports page it says file size 0bytes 15% progress but it can't be cancelled. Also the scan in progress cannot be stopped yet reads 0%. Windows 10 says both avg and defender are turned off. I have tried to delete avg and it says is currently being installed. Defender wont update and i cannot turn on firewall as it says it is being managed by avg. Please help

Hello K,
We understand your concern. You can go ahead and remove all the other traces AVG folders from the C Drive and then initiate the installation of AVG and that should fix the issue.
