AVG Internet Security report file

Hello Julian.
We're here to help. Please note that user must enable the option to generate a scan report in scan settings. To generate a scan report please follow the below steps,(for example: Deep virus scan is considered.)
- Open AVG
- Open Scan setting (symbol of gear, bottom of the window)
- Open Deep Virus Scan setting (symbol of gear, Deep Virus Scan tile)
- Click on "Report file"
- Check "Generate report", fill "Filename" (e.g. AVGScanReport), and check all reported items (Infected items, Hard errors, Soft errors, OK Items, Skipped items)
- Click on "OK" and "OK".

To view the scan report, please follow the path C:ProgramData\Avg\Antivirus\report

AVG report files in C/:program data/Avg/antivirus/report recently stopped showing time and end of scan (full computer scan).
I contacted AVG and was told that these timing data would be available in later updates
Now AVG Internet Security has stopped generating reports altogether (designated report folder is not being written to)
Is anyone else having similar trouble .
Would AVG moderators mind letting us know when this will be fixed

@Avinash (Avast) -

>We're here to help.

You would be of more help if you paid closer attention to what posters are
actually saying instead of just spitting out canned responses. If you had read
Julian's post with care you would have noticed that mention was made of:

(1) The location of the reports
(2) What the content of the reports used to look like.
(3) What lines began missing from the reports.
(4) The fact that the reports in the specified directory have now gotten worse.

So how do you think it "helps" to give detailed instructions on how to cause
reports to be generated and where to find them, to someone who clearly already
knows that?

It would also help if the Avast responders would make at least a minimal
attempt to draw together the reports of similar or identical issues. This
corruption of the reports has been reported in multiple threads recently.
But every time it gets reported the same unhelpful suggestions are given
or requests are made for screenshots of screen displays that don't exist.

@Julian -

I too reported in this forum that the lines starting with an asterisk
containing the date/time and VPS data are no longer generating. I too
received a reply (eventually) that the developers were working on a fix
to be released in a later update. I assume(d) that means when a version
update occurs, not dynamically along with VPS updates.

However, I have recently run a custom Quick Scan and found that the existing
report file was not updated with any info from the scan. So the issue seems
to have gotten worse instead of better. An exception appears to be the Scan
from Windows Explorer, which does still get the 4 summary lines when I run a
scan - but minus the asterisked lines of course.

Julian, it is indeed disappointing when you have to contact us multiple times. We would like to update you again that the fix is underway. But unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time when will it be released.

@ Avast
If I check all reported items (infected items hard errors soft errors OK items Skipped items) then I get a complete list of every file scanned which in a full computer scan is a list of several or more million items.
If OK items is not checked (so as not to use up valuable space on my C drive) then no information is written to the report.

Also, you have not answered my last question above. Could you please advise when the promised update re-instating full report details will be released. My subscription is due for renewal in July and I am seriously looking at alternatives to AVG

@Wayne King.
Thanks friend. I hunted high and low for forum posts about these issues thinking many others would be having the same kind of trouble.
Glad to know I am not alone.
