Initially, could you check & let us know if you've created any scan(s) scheduled in the morning?
If yes, we'd request you to delete the created scan(s) & create a new scan scheduled scan in the night.

Is there any way to tell this program that I don't want scans happening during the day?  At night, perhaps?  Instead of stealing CPU cycles from my apps?
