I tried this and still not fixed.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! Your on line guy managed to sort it out.
My AVG is in passive mode and does not want to re-enter active mode.
I do not have any other antivirus installed and have only been using AVG for the last three years so it is not another antivirus that is causing the issue.
I have removed it as well as cleared the TEMP, AppData and all those folders. I still have the same issue.

Thank you for providing the screenshots. I see that it detecting AVG older version as a conflict version. To remove the AVG older version, please run the AVG remover tool mentioned in this article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG. After uninstall, restart your computer and check if the current version is activated.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues with avguix.exe error. In this case, I request you to follow the instruction (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security) to download/install/activate AVG Internet Security on your computer. Once you install AVG Internet Security the avguix.exe file will get repaired automatically.
