I understand how difficult this is for you. Please be informed that "Microsoft Security Essential" is a security software provided by Microsoft. This product does not help with updates as Windows updates will be automatically downloaded to your computer via Windows Update Center which is preinstalled in your computer. This latest version of AVG Internet Security have added features which provide additional support to your computer. Having more than one security software will slow down your computer performance and it is not recommended as well.You can uninstall "Windows Security Essential" from your computer, you will still have complete protection by AVG and also you will receive all the windows updates.

Ok so now my paid avg internet security will not work because of Microsoft security essentials is running also for updates on my windows 7.  This has not ever happened before! you want my to uninstall Microsoft security updates. I simply can't do that because they are always sending new updates for patches.  Good grief! so why won't you allow microsoft to update my windows 7 and at the same time provide security for me for the web? this is ridiculous!  this has never happened before and I have had avg for some time whether it be the free edition or the paid edition which i did pay  for in August!  I CANNOT UNINSTALL WINDOWS SECURITY ESSENTIALS! -Ginger Peterson

Thanks!  That explains it and it's now fixed! That windows security essential was put on october of 2016 I noticed.  I didn't do it. so they must of installed it?
