AVG Internet Security unexpectently has nothing active, all modules red. Can't repair or reactivate

Yes I tried that. I have had AVG 2014 since December 2013. A few months ago, my AVG Internet Security suddenly went into what looks like an error state - all modules are red with "UNKNOWN" under each one. I was not able to re-enable any of the modules. I get an error from some functions (like clicking "Protection is up-to-date" saying that the connection is off-line. This is despite the fact that I still have Internet connectivity through other browsers and applications. I tried to repair the installation through Control Panel but this too would error. I tried to uninstall the product and again, this process would error. The only way I could uninstall the product was to reboot in Safe Mode. Then I would reboot normally and reinstall the product again and everything appeared fine. I since upgraded to Internet Security 2015 but same problem. This same problem has become more and more frequent such that now I only go 2-3 days before the whole installation winds up in that same error state again. I could not find a satisfactory solution in any forums or on your support FAQ. I am hoping you can help me with this because my only alternative will be to find another Vendor if this can't be resolved.

Hi Nathan,
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output (gather it right after inducing issue) using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.
