We regret for the inconvenience caused. We could see that you had installed AVG Internet Security for multi device subscription instead of AVG Internet Security for stand alone version.No need to worry, in this case we would request you to remove previously installed AVG program traces from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Internet Security.
Note:If you have installed any other Antivirus programs like AVAST, NORTON, MCAFEE or KASPERSKY, Please uninstall it first to avoid conflicts when installing AVG.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe .
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.

I have AVG Internet Security installed on a Windows Vista machine. It was originally set up as the free version and I have just bought a new 1 year subscription and received my licence number. The AVG is logged in to my account but I am unable to enter the new licence number but it is showing logged into my avg account. The left hand pane still shows internet security expiring in 3 days. I am unable to get to the options menu to activate as described at https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Activate-AVG-AntiVirus-or-Internet-Security-with-a-new-license-number as this version has the new three line menu symbol. How do I get to the correct point to enter the new licence number?
4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.
Download and install AVG Internet Security: http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Internet_Security_1930.exe .
