AVG Internet Security virus definitions won't update

Did you try to restart your computer once and then check if it helps?
Did you try to repair your AVG Internet Security program and check?

You can repair your AVG Internet Security with the following steps:
1. Press your window key and R key together and then type "appwiz.cpl" and hit "Enter"
2. Here you can see the list of installed applications in your PC.
3. Uninstall the conflicting antivirus (If found).
4. Uninstall the AVG Internet Security and click "Uninstall".
5. Now select repair and continue. 
6. Restart your PC.
Please try the above steps and let us know the status of the issue.

AVG Internet Security virus definitions won't update. When I click update virus definitions AVG goes through it's routine of installing updates and when finished it states release date of Dec. 19 2021 ver. 210926-8 but still gives me the warning virus definitions are not up to date.

I twice tried the steps listed but I still have the same problem.
