Hi! I have windows 10, but when i right click on the app from the program menu I do not get an option to repair. Is this normal for the AVG free version?

Yes AVG Internet Security does not launch when I double click on the desktop icon. I do not get any error messages when I try to launch the program.

I followed the instructions correctly this time, but my AVG Antivirus free will not open! Anyone up to provide some guidance?

Let me help you with this.

  1. Please press Windows key in your keyboard and it will open Start menu. Search for 'Control panel'. 
  2. Then open the control panel and click on 'Programs and features' icon in it.
  3. Locate AVG Internet Security/AVG Antivirus from the list of installed programs and right click on it.
  4. Click the Change or Change/Remove button.
  5. Select Repair.
  6. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the repair process.
  7. Restart your computer.

Did you try to repair AVG setup as requested? If that does not resolve your issue, let us know if it is a paid or trial version of AVG that you are using.
