AVG Internet Security

I'm getting a request for a password when I try to access AVG Internet Security.  I don't recall ever having this issue before.  How do I know if this program is working if I can't access it? 
My subscription expires in March.  If I resubscribe will that correct the problem?  Thanks!

Hiu Dinesh!  I'm having trouble getting a screenshot but let me give you an idea as to what I'm running into when I try to open AVG.  I'm getting a message saying PASSWORD REQUIRED and then two choices saying ENTER and CANCEL.  My AVG password is rejected  and then I'm getting a message saying SELECT CANCEL UNLESS YOU ARE PERFORMING THE ACTION INTENTIONALLY.  To give you further info I believe someone may have hacked into this program and made some changes. Do you think my best best would be just to renew my subscription?  Can I perhaps get someone from AVG to take control and correct this.  Thanks!
