Anthony, An AVG 64 bit installation contains both 32 & 64 bit files. All drivers and processes that scans your computer are 64 bit x64 files, only UI and some non essential parts are 32 bit x86 files.

I am running AVG Internet Security 17.5.3022 and have noticed in task manager  that AVG in 32 bit. Is there a way I can change/upgrade to 64 bit.
