We can't run a scan (have paid for our subscription)-says it's crashed and does not work after multiple tries.

We tried these steps and uninstalled after repairing AVG Internet Security - after re-starting we tried to run a scan and it said it crashed and to start over - we did that and no luck.
Types of version: AVG Internet Security, AVG Tune-up and AVG VPN -it's the first one we are trying.
We finally got the AVG internet security uninstalled and need directions how to re-install. That is our update.
