My AVG daily scheduled scan starts at any random time but not the time set. This problem seems to be a wide spread issue with AVG 2017, plus the 'a second ago' scan comment already noted.
What is being done to resolve this apparently wide spread problem? The computer time is correct, the scan schedule correctly notified on screen, but unlike the previous AVG version which always scanned as directed, the new one is hopeless and extremely irritating.

Penny, when the scheduled scan starts, a play button symbol will appear on the AVG icon located in the system tray. Please set the time and check if the scheduled scan works. Also, please don't put your computer in sleep mode at the time of scheduled scan.

This few seconds ago issue on AVG user interface will not affect the scan function of the program.
May I know whether your PC is put to sleep mode or turned off at the time of scheduled scan?

But will this resolve the random scanning problem? I installed my daily scheduled scan some time ago, and whilst this scheduled instruction appears correct on the screen, the scan does not happen at the instructed scheduled time. The scan is instead happening in an entirely random way totally unrelated to my scheduled instructions.
Will this inability of AVG 2017 to adhere to the programmed scheduled scan be solved when the 'few seconds ago' issue is resolved?

I have already done this ie scan is set for a scheduled time. I have deleted and re-entered the scheduled scan several times and have just done that yet again to see if it works. Obviously I have missed 8 am today but will try to see whether it scans at 8 am tomorrow morning. The PC is never in sleep mode.
Many thanks and I will tell you tomorrow if the scheduled scan works or indeed if AVG spontaneously scans during today.

The PC is on at the time of the supposed scheduled scan. It is also on when the random scans occur.
