I too am getting fiber.js script errors over the last month.
I have uninstalled any program associated it. (Binkiland was the only one I found)
I updated AVG, I launched a full scan.
I ran regedit and looked in my registry files but could not find it any other files.
I went into my Browser options (Chrome, Explorer and Firefox) and could not find it in my add ons.
I do not know what else to do.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Dennis
fiber.js is usually located in the 'C: \ ProgramData \ {0D2BE5E8-5DA9-346E-EC2F-44EC3CAD9762} \ 1.9.1.1 ' folder. or similar
It is to be checked for malicious
It is advisable to find the file and upload it to file sample analysis
http://www.avg.com/submit-sample
You can try to uninstall any program associated with it
He went Control Panel, "Programs and Features"
scroll through the list of currently installed programs and uninstall
related programs if available - Binkiland, Jamenize, Omniboxes or Taplika and WSE_Binkiland, WSE_Jamenize, WSE_Omniboxes or WSE_Taplika.
Update to date AVG, and to launch a full scan. You can also scan with Malwarebytes
Thanks
I have been getting the Windows Scropt Host pop-up giving error message about fiber.js not found. My research indicates this is an adware threat. My scan reports no threats found or threats removed but I still receive the error pop-up once in a while when I'm on my computer. What little information I have found about this message and the fiber.js file tries to get me to purchase their spyware removal tool. Can't find any reference to this in support center in my AVG account.
Looking for any relevent information on this before I go to the time consuming procedure of contacting AVG support specialist.
