Hi, can anybody help me with this? Can't find a contact number for AVG and it's turning my day into a nightmare trying to get tech support.
I bought AVG Internet Security last night and tried installing it on my pc. It seemed to be installing fine so I left it for 5 minutes to carry on. When I returned my monitor was black and no cursor flashing when moving the mouse. The PC was on and running so I presumed that it had restarted my pc to finish off the install. After an hour there had been no change so I had to force stop my pc as I was turning in for the night. I checked again in the morning and on turning on my pc there was no boot up screen, monitor still black with no cursor but the tower was running as the blue light was on and I could hear the fans. I have windows 8.1 and couldn’t even restart in safe mode. I have checked all my connections, cables etc and all fine there. My pc is only a few months old so I’d hate to think that AVG has messed up my computer. Any ideas?
Thanks
Nadine

I have recently purchased your AVG Internet Security 2015 and installed it on my computer. Unfortunately it keeps saying that I need to restart my computer in order to update. I have restarted countless times, from both the winow message that pops-up as well as clicking on the AVG icon in the taskbar, and yet the message keeps coming up.
I'm not sure if this is a common issue/bug with the program or if it is me, but the AVG menu keeps saying that I am "NOT FULLY PROTECTED" and that my firewall etc needs a restart to activate. If I am not protected I would appreciate a refund of my purchase, so I can work out anti-virus by other means. I've recently reformated and reinstalled windows, (prior to installation of AVG) and so I don't think there should be an issue.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated,
Kind regards
Stuart
Hi Nadine,
It is hard to predict what happened, is there any error message etc? Did you tried plug off PC to make sure it is not in sleep mode etc?
Thanks
