Hello Bruce,
I will check this for you.
Please share the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the error message you receive from AVG to assist further.
Message was on the screen this evening when I got home from work.
Was NOT there this morning when I left.
Internet was ON all day as was AVG.
Here is the screenshot.
Not sure if it is tangled up with NBN drop-out issues we have been experiencing.
Telstra (Australia) have been less that helpful so far with that.
We appreicate your efforts in sharing us the screenshot, Bruce.
Would you be so kind to let us know when you receive this message exactly. Is it while accessing either AVG Internet Security or Firefox or frequently?
Also, let us know the extensions installed on your Firefox browser.
To check : Open Firefox - Click on Menu - Add-ons.
I see the following message on my desktop screen several times each day.
"There was a problem starting C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Antivirus\x86\firefox_pass.dll"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\Antivirus\x86\firefox_pass.dll is not a valid Win32 application"

The default "Could you restart your PC" had no effect.
the message does NOT appear on startup it seems to appear randomly during the day or night.
Not sure when the message appears as I can be away from the computer for hours at a time.
It is simply on the screen when I turn the screen on.
Firefox & AVG are both left running while the computer is on (the screen is off but the computer is left running while I am away).
I use the computer in the evenings after dinner for a few hours only.

The only "Add-on" for my Firefox is the "New Tab Override" this allows me to set the new tabs to my preffered home page of "Google.au"
