Thank you Aravindh, made 3 attempts to reinstall mine because it always get stuck at 73% and then gives me: 0xE001050B despite the obvious fact that I had an internet connection! No solution worked until I found yours! Thanks a lot!!!

Step 1: . Right click the Start menu and select Network Connections.
Step 2: Right click the network connection you're using and select Properties.
Step 3: Highlight 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)' and click Properties.
Step 4: Select option to use following DNS Server.
Step 5: Please try to use the this port number to configure your DNS.

8.8.4.4
Step 5: Click ok and try to reinsnatll your AVG program.

I'm trying to install AVG Internet Security through AVG Zen but it keeps failing at 87% saying its an unknown reason and giving me error code 0xE001050B. It says that I'm not connected to the internet, but I am… Any ideas?
