Hi Jim,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
It seems that the downloaded patches are unable to get applied to the program. Hence, it prompts to restart.
Please let us know the version of AVG installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About).

For the last sevceral weeks everytime I open my computer and AVG Internet Security, it states AVG needs to restart your computer to enable security enchancements.  It seems after several times you should be able to get this accomplished and I should not have to restart my computer every time I open it.
