Hi Douglas.
We'd be glad to clarify this.
Do you have a paid subscription for Avast Internet Security and is is installed and activated on your PC?
If that is the case, you need not install AVG.

I have recently upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and in the process a new hard drive was installed. Originally I had various AVG software programmes installed but now I have had Avast software installed during the upgrade. As I understand it AVG is a subsidiary of Avast and therefore is there any need for me to renew my AVG Internet Security which expires on 27 July 2020 if similar software has been installed by Avast ??
