AVG is affecting my word processor

I am sorry to hear this. Please check if you have enabled turbo mode in AVG PC TuneUp. If so, please change it to standard mode by going to AVG->PC TuneUp->click on 'Play' button at bottom left corner(next to battery icon).
If the issue persists, please share the screenshot of error message you encounter with word files to assist further.

All of a sudden AVG prevents me from saving my files in my word processor.
When I'm trying to open a new file it gives me a message "the file is in use".
I'm using Word Perfect. 
Everything worked fine until today.
How can I restore the original settings?
Where is it located in the program this feature?
If you know how to fix it, please give me really detailed, step by step instructions, as my computer skills are quite limited.
