Hello Peter,
Let's fix it together. Could you share the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot of that error you received to check and assist you further?
Are you able to access emails via browser when AVG is disabled? Right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to disable AVG temporarily.
Thank you for providing us the screenshot.
Are you getting this threat pop up only when you try to access your web mail in Firefox?
Please try to access this page using your chrome browser and try to send a test email from there, and check if you still get this pop up.
If the issue persists even on your Chrome browser please let us know to escalate the case to our senior team to resolve it.
AVG is blocking my access to telstra webmail, with the same screenshots as above
Webmail is blocked in all browsers
When i turned off AVG web and email protection, AVG allowed the telstra webmail site to load
I have used the AVG false positives reporting tool to report the telstra webmail sites.
AVG Web/email protection tool is reporting these websites as phishing attacks
Telstra Login
https://email.telstra.com/login
WebMail (telstra.com)
Please notify me when AVG will allow me access to my webmail again
In the last couple of days I have been unable to open any emails in my webmail account keep getting a AVG popup stating that it has blocked phishing but they open fine in outlook
It happens in Chrome and also in Edge. but I normally use firefox
Thanks
I am now having this same issue where AVG web shield blocks my webmail (college email program) saying the same thing as in the screenshot posted here. I ran a repair like posted in this feed but it did not help. How do I clear up this phishing problem?
I did nothing and now AVG is working again?
Thank you for the screenshot.

I am having exactly the same problem as Paul and Peter above where AVG is blocking iinet's webmail service each time you try to open an email. It happens on Windows 7 and 10 and AVG free and purchased versions (I have 2 PC's and reinstalled AVG). I will not be sending screenshots as exactly same issue with https://webmail.iinet.net.au and it is obviously an issue with AVG
Thank you so much for the information.
We have to escalate the case to our senior team to analyse the issue and to resolve it. We have to collect few AVG files logs for our senior team to analyse the issue and to provide you the resolution.
We request you create a new post with your email account, so that it would be really easy for us to provide you email instructions to collect the log files for analysis.
Hi Paul,
We need to determine the exact reason. Could you share the screenshot to have better understanding? Do you have access to emails via email clients?
