With the new 8.5 patch, I keep getting UnauthorizedAccessException errors with the game.

Turning OFF AVG fixes the issue, but I am playing unprotected. How can I get AVG to STOP blocking my access to the game?

I am running version 18.6.3066.

I am seeing the error in the game logs. The entry that shows the error is:

28-00:59:25.563 19_59 -LOG- GameOptions: Using dataset 'SP, Survival' for condition 'Survival, SP'
UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "C:/Games Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Content\Playfields\TemperateStarter\preview.jpg" or "C:/Games Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Saves/Games/NewGame_1\Templates\Reest\preview.jpg" is denied.

When I turn off AVG, the UnauthorizedAccessException errors do not appear.

Thanks, for providing us the information. On which AVG component you have added the exception?

Also provide us the screenshot of the of that error message to check from our end.

Please try to disable each AVG component individually and then check which AVG component blocks the access to the game.
