HI I have the same problem. I am using latest version of Thunderbird emai and untill last week no probs, now AVG blocks emails both in and out. I tried repair as per earlier advice, no success.

I do most of my email via webmail, only using Thunderbird every couple of weeks or so. Last time I opened Thunderbird, I did not have this problem; now I do. Help!

Please let us know whether you receive any error message while receiving emails. If so, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.
Also, clarify whether you experience issue while receiving emails in Thunderbird alone or even when using the web mail.
Meanwhile, please repair AVG program once, as this isn't the usual behavior.
