AVG is getting worse by the year

 I am using AVG Home Edision which is a Free AVG Edition. Along the way there frequent pop-up asking me to buy, buy otherwise I am not properly protected. I have been using AVG from 40 year a go. Same Home Version. I have no problem. But recently AVG want me to buy? I was wondering have AVG management change their policies, making all users MUST pay, no more like the old days we can get a Free Edition?. Also I was warn that people can see what I am viewing. Ok, this product is beginning to piss me off, and either you're going to stop giving me these issues, or you're going to give me a refund and loose me, and others, as a customer. I'm sick and tired of these issues, I've been with AVG practically since the very beginning and now you're more frustrating than ever.

1) You spam me with "WE CAN SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING" every day now when I start web browsing, trying to sell me a VPN that I don't want right now.  STOP IT, STOP SPAMMING ME WITH MORE PRODUCTS.  I was considering getting it, when I have money, but I don't want to be spammed with your other products while I'm already paying you for the "AVG Ultimate" package which is already overpriced as it is.

2) When I renewed, I found out I had to reinstall AVG from scratch in order to fix an issue with AVG not activating my new license.  This process screwed up one or more of my drivers, causing my internet issues that have persisted ever since that time, and I still can't solve the problem even after I reinstalled my drivers.  Stop changing your software so much that it requires a total uninstall and reinstall just to fix it.  I still want you to fix the issue YOU caused but I doubt you'll do that.

3) Suddenly for no reason whatsoever, my AVG downgraded to free, while I still have 289 days left on my protection, I had to reboot, saw it was still free, then I logged out and logged back in as admin in AVG Zen just to be told I had to reboot again, and THEN I got my full protection back.  What the hell was that about?  If this happens again, I'll be contacting you and demanding a refund for refusing to give me proper service.  I manage multiple computers on my network, some remotely.  I don't need to have to deal with this process over and over again every time this happens.

4) Your website is broken, support doesn't load the chat on firefox or chrome, and yes I had to spend half an hour downloading chrome today to find out it doesn't work on chrome either.  Fix it.  Its got an infinite unending loading icon when I use the chat option.

You're making it very hard for me to stay with AVG, I've told all my friends who ask about antivirus that AVG is the best, but I'm beginning to reconsider that position and I really don't want to leave AVG and find a new company because I've been with you guys for so very long.  I'm pretty sure its been over 10 years now with AVG.

I just read an article about AVG being acquired by Avast.  Is this whats causing all the issues?  Is that why things are going down hill?

The company I loved for over a decade, merged with another and decided to start spamming users with "buy this, buy that, buy one of these too"?  Using paranoia inducing tactics to scare people into buying your products as well like "I can see what you're doing" every time someone opens their browser.  Shame on you, thats wrong to do, makes you no better than other big time companies that do the same or worse things to their users like Microsoft with data collection through hidden options that are too hard for the basic user to find.

By the way, AVG staff.  Please don't use my real name, I used an online alias here for a reason.  I would like you to go back through and edit my name out of your posts if you can, I don't like my real name on the internet.

As for the support, I can't end up dealing with it right now, and at this point it may not be nessicary but I don't know yet.
