AVG is hogging resources and slowing my computer

How did you narrow it down to AVG? Could you share the screenshot of your Task manager to verify the CPU usage and assist further?

I cannot use my computer because AVG is always running and slowing it down. It is using all my resources. I click on items and have to wait several minutes to open applications or download a document. I'm getting ready to uninstall all the AVG products. Is there another solution before I do that?
