Apparently, my AVG updated automatically in the background, I have a new interface. But it is now inactive (shield icon with an explamantion mark in middle). In the window, It tells me my virus definitions are not up to date. When I launch the Check for Updates, it completes but keeps saying it is not up to date. What is going on?
Hello Clarence,
I understand that you are unable to update AVG and get error. Yes, you can reinstall AVG Internet Security on your computer and that will fix this issue. This might have caused due to some synchronization issue with update server. Please uninstall AVG from your computer control panel and click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-AntiVirus-Internet-Security-or-Premium-Security to install and activate AVG Internet Security on your computer.

We see from your record that you have an active subscription for AVG TuneUp Unlimited, this is a unlimited version. AVG AntiVirus you have in your account can be installed only on single computer.
I have emailed you a link to uprade AVG AntiVirus in your account to AVG Internet Security Unlimited. This upgrade is free or charge.
This upgraded version does not require a license number and will get activated using your AVG MyAccount credentials.

Hello Michelle,
I understand the inconvenience.
I request you to try (repair of AVG Antivirus) and check whether it resolves the issue.
Could not uninstall the AVG inernet suite by going thru control panel & selecting repair or uninstall. Kept getting the the error 0xc00ff946 (verification of digital signature fail). Downloaded & ran the AVG removel tool. Then downloaded & interstalled AVG Internet suite. Got rid of the problem. Thanks for the help.
