I have been using ACT! with AVG for years.  This last week, ACT! suddenly will not come up unless I temporarly disable AVG protection.  I have tried reinstalling ACT! while AVG is deactivated and have made sure all the processess associated with ACT! are listed in the firewall Applications list to no avail.  What else do you suggest I need to try in order to solve this problem.

Hello Graham. Please right click your ACT program and go to properties. You could see .exe file and folder path. Please use the link: http://avgread.me/18WB2dg to add .exe file in application/file exception list and path in folder exception list. In the part, Use this exception for: uncheck Resident Shield and Manual and Scheduled Scan. Only Identity Protection needs to be checked. Please feel free to contact us if you are facing any issue.
