I purchased AGV to stop virus and spy wear. Once installed I receive constantly - twice dally at least - harassed for extra money to upgrade. If I don’t upgrade the next step is that AVG assures me my computer is infected with spyware and mal wear and if I purchase / upgrade they can help.
I bought AGV software to stop attacks of this nature.
My plan is to tell everyone how I feel, wait out the 12 months - being careful not to miss the renewal deadline as (if memory serves) the new annual fees are triple the original cost.
After being Virus free using other companies’ software… I paid for a AGV to invade to my computer. I get harassed for money and constantly reminded that I need to give AGV money or risks – harm will happen.
If that isn’t the behaviour of a scammer then what is?

From the provided screenshots, we see that you're being prompted to purchase additional AVG programs, while attempting to fix the privacy/performance issues (through banner at bottom in AVG Internet Security).
Since, AVG TuneUp (optimization tool) & AVG AntiTrack (privacy tool) isn't included in AVG Internet Security, they needs to be purchased separately.
Usually, AVG program provides pop up offers for other AVG programs, in order to personalize/improvise the existing app.
An user can either proceed to purchase through the prompt or ignore, depending on their preferences.
However, the app allows us to disable those campaign notifications by following these steps : Open AVG Internet Security - Menu - Settings - General - Personal privacy - uncheck options below 'Offers'
