The reason for this issue is because "ZEN" application is no longer available for AVG in Android.
We have already passed this to developers team and they are working to find a new solution but this process will take time.
Your patience is much appreciated and right now it is not possible to manage Android devices from AVG user interface installed on your PC.

okay, on my android phone i've accessed the AVG menu…selected AVG account…then signed into my avg account and added my phone, however, when i go to my laptop and open the AVG IS Ultimate interface…it only shows my laptop connected…even though the phone is most definitely connected. how do i get it to update/recognise the status of connected devices. please and thank you!
