Bradley, Have a look @ this link (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=234970). Also if you're not sure about 32 or 64 bit on your system have a look @ this link (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-free-forum?sec=thread&act=show&id=140471#post_140471).
AVG Guru
Right, AVG has messed up my PC...
I've had my current computer for around 1 year 6 months, when I first purchased the computer, AVG 2013 was one of the first programs I installed.
About 6 months ago, all of a sudden AVG would be open in the taskbar and in the system processes, however it wouldnt open for me; fustrated, I tried to look for an answer, but to no avail.
Failing to find the answer to why AVG wasnt opening, I went to Add/Remove Programs to unistall AVG, so that I could try re-installing, but even the uninstaller wouldnt work!
I then went online and found a force uninstall program, which I then used to uninstall AVG, which appeared to work, however in the processes, AVG continued to run.
Annoyed at AVg using my system resources, I then went into the C:/ drive to forcibly uninstall as much remaining of the program as possible, but found that AVG's folder wouldnt let me access or edit the programs files due to me not being system administrator, however, THERE IS ONLY ONE ACCOUNT ON THIS PC! I am the one and the ONLY administrator on this PC!
Failing all of that, I gave up and didnt bother and just left it using up my system resources.
Today, my PC crashed due to not having enough resources, so I decided to attempt to fix the problem; I decided to try installing AVG 2014, because then hopefully the prgram would overwrite the existing one, including the dodgy files....instead of overwriting the files, it came up with the following error message you can see here:
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=a0gy6r&s=8#.U8GfGfmIAus
Can someone please help me so that AVG isnt killing my computer and so that I can install AVG 2014????
Many Thanks, Bradley

Hi Bradley,
AVG Remover didn't work? Is there any error message?
In order to analyze it please provide us with diagnostic output using this tool (http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe) and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks
