Hello Mitch,
We realize this must be upsetting.
Are you using any application in windows PC to use Android apps on it?
Let us check which component of AVG is blocking the files.
Open AVG Internet Security interface.
Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Components".
Use the On/Off slider to disable each components and check for which is behind this.
Once you confirm it, we will be able to proceed further on this matter.
Use gb whatsapp apk original (https://gbappsonline.com/). You will not face any issues again because WhatsApp has more features than simple WhatsApp.
If AVG is blocking a JPG from WhatsApp, it could be a false positive. Temporarily disable AVG, save the image, and re-enable AVG. If the issue persists, consider adding an exception for WhatsApp in AVG's settings or try using a different antivirus program. Always exercise caution with files from unknown sources. You can also try GBWhatsApp Pro (https://whatsappinstalling.com/gb-whatsapp-pro-apk-download/) to get ride of this problem. Thanks
Hi Mitch,
It seems like AVG’s Behavior Shield is mistakenly flagging WhatsApp as a potential security risk when you're trying to save JPGs. This is likely a false positive. One solution is to follow the recommendation of repairing AVG protection by going to Menu > Settings > Components and disabling each component one by one to identify which one is causing the issue. Once identified, you can add an exception for WhatsApp in the AVG settings to prevent future interruptions.
Additionally, if the problem continues, I would suggest checking if any security settings in the WhatsApp desktop app or your system could be contributing to this. As a workaround, you could try using the mobile version of WhatsApp to send the images to yourself and download them on your desktop from there, or even consider using WhatsApp Web, which might bypass some of these restrictions.
If you're looking for more flexibility with WhatsApp on your desktop, consider using WhatsApp NA (a more feature-rich version). It can provide additional control and could help with smoother file management.
Let me know if these solutions work for you!
Hi there
i have noted I cannot save from a number of programs. I receive files and images from vendors on Whatsapp (Desktop). AVG keeps blocking me saving these files, even though i click "Allow App". Incredibly frustrating and time wasting to have to then go into my mobile and "send" the files back to my desktop. Its still blocks me even when i turn off "file shield"!!
How do i manually "allow" Whatsapp and other programs to save files?
thanks in advance
Thank you for the information Mitch,
I request you to repair AVG Protection ( http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG ) and reboot your computer once. After reboot, please check if you can download the Whatsapp jpg files with enabled AVG protection.
Regards,
Alok.
