AVG license activation

I successfully downloaded the AVG software on Monday and tried to activate license.  Then gave up as my blood pressure was rising and I was shouting very rude words at my screen!  I have some time free today to try again.  AVG has mailed me to say that I 'just need to activate' the license!!  Well, I'm trying!!  I clicked on, as advised, and in the top menu on the right, the support button isn't a drop down option as seen on the You Tube demo, it leads me to this online support.  There is no option for reactivate.  Instead, I keep getting an AVG message that I am open to a hacker attack (the hacker is in red) and that I should take action now.  That action takes me to a sales screen…but I have already paid for this!  And, I then keep being asked to shut down for an upgrade.  This is driving me mad and I am about to abandon the 21st century in preference for a pen and paper!  Why do you advise that it's so damned easy to do when it is nothing short of a massive pain in the neck!!!  At least have the good grace to provide 'accurate' how to do instructions.

Hello Helen,

I understand how this must be upsetting.
I will help you to get your AVG Internet Security subscription activated using the license number that you purchased.
Please open AVG Internet Security dashboard and click on "Menu–>About–>Subscriptions".
Provide the screenshot of subscription window to assist further.
To take a screenshot please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV and attach the image to this post.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Helen,
Thank you for providing the screenshot. I would request you to click "Logout" on the Subscription window. Then you will see an option to click "Enter license number".
Click on 'Enter license number' to key in your new license number.
The program will update to paid version automatically.
You may have to reboot the PC once to finish the activation.

I can't get past this screen…

Helen
