Hello James,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
This AVG license error popup is a known issue and to fix this we have to completely remove the existing AVG program using the AVG remover tool.
As per our record you have purchased the subscription for AVG Protection multidevice which doesn't have a license number for it.
It's activation is by entering the AVG my account credentials.
Please use the AVG remover tool as mentioned in this article: http://avgread.me/1DEtNP0 to remove the traces of existing AVG program.
Once it is removed, please follow the installation instructions as mentioned in this article: http://avgread.me/1FKGRZI .
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.
Thanks for the reply.
So I uninstalled as per your instructions and downloaded the installer.
Wehn I run the set-up program I am still being asked for a licence number! I'm on a subscription so there is no licence number - what am I supposed to do?
Now I have no anti-virus protection at all.
Sorry, this is not a good solution for me because I am travelling and I do not have access to a fast broadband connection.
Is there another solution?
My subscription expires on 4 April - I will have to cancel and find another product. It's a shame because I have used AVG for several years.
I've had an AVG paid subscription for years and have never had any issues but now I keep getting a pop up telling me that AVG can't recognise my licence no & to re-enter it.
Apparently because I'm on a subscription, I have no licence no so haven't a clue what to do.
Any help appreciated.
